AIA Chattanooga Executive Board- Call for directors
Vice President (one-year term): In addition to the responsibilities of all EC members, the Vice President assists the President and President-Elect in their duties as requested. The Vice President is the automatic nomination for President-Elect in the following calendar year. The Vice President also performs the duties of President at official component functions if both the President and President-Elect are absent.
Directors (two-year term): In addition to the general responsibilities of Executive Committee members, the Directors serve as advisors to the Executive Committee, offering insight from different member groups and ensuring the implementation of the Strategic Plan.
Associate Director (two-year term): In addition to the general responsibilities of the Executive Committee members, the Associate Director serves to represent the views of the associate members of the component. The Associate Director's input is particularly important in regard to recruitment, professional and leadership development, and programming. The Associate Director often serves as the leader of the emerging professional group Extended Studio, though this is not a requirement. The Associate Director is generally invited to attend the AIA Leadership Summit (formerly Grassroots) once during her or his two-year term.
